Microsoft has introduced a new worldwide event known as Microsoft AI skill Fest, with free training courses to enable individuals from around the globe to learn artificial intelligence usage. The 50-day festival starts today, April 8, and will last until May 28, 2025. It is accessible to anyone, regardless of age, occupation or skill. The objective of this event is to make AI training programme more accessible since AI is fast becoming a part of day-to-day work and life. If you're a student, tech expert, business leader or simply interested in AI, you can enrol yourself into the programme and select courses based on your understanding.

Microsoft informs that the free Ai skills training will come in a variety of languages, such as Hindi, English, French, Chinese, Spanish, and numerous others. Sessions are free and in different forms-self-paced lessons, live sessions, hackathons, challenges and even meetups offline. Registration is required to participate, which can be done via the website.

The AI courses are all geared to assist users at each level. Novices can delve into fundamental principles such as what AI is and how it may assist with tasks of daily life. For the more advanced, there are the technical courses covering tools such as Microsoft Fabric, GitHub Copilot, Azure AI services, and so on. Some of the training even prepares you for a certification such as the DP-700, though the actual test must be separately paid for.

Apart from acquiring new skills, there is also an opportunity for the participants to win prizes. For the free skilling AI programme, Microsoft will also award 50,000 vouchers for free Microsoft Certification exams with weekly lucky draws. GitHub will also provide a 50 percent discount on its new Copilot certification exam to those who take the learning module.

Microsoft calls this effort a step toward making learning AI easier and less scary. It aims to get people to take small steps one at a time and use AI to fix things, be more efficient, and discover new possibilities.
